This is a neat site from Tufts Open Courseware re: Blender

Didn’t know if you still use it or had seen this, but there are some good video tutorials that I’m going to look through.

Thanks, Diane,

I went to YouTube yesterday to see the speech, but the Wikipedia link is even better.

I had a question about the picture of Ted Stevens. It is on the Wikimedia Commons and is in the public domain.

Subject: Ted Stevens on the Internet

I felt that I had to share this link with you, as it has the whole gory story about Sen. Ted Stevens describing the internet as a "series of tubes." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Series_of_tubes

To share with your students or not.   Have a great weekend.

Don't you love the term "folksonomies?" This is from a definnition that one of my students left on the Wiki - I asked him for the source.

A second generation of web-based communities and hosted services such as social-networking sites, wikis and folksonomies which aim to facilitate collaboration and sharing between users. There is another neat definition on Wikipedia of Folksonomies:

Folksonomies arise in Web-based communities where provisions are made at the site level for creating and using tags. These communities are established to enable Web users to label and share user-generated content, such as photographs, or to collaboratively label existing content, such as Web sites, books, works in the scientific and scholarly literatures, and blog entries.

I have a new Buzzword!

Yup, I've seen it - Google just keeps things coming!"Belisle, Jacquelyn" <Jacquelyn.Belisle@Trinity.edu> writes:Y'all know about this one?

I thought you all might be interested in the updated National Technology Standards for Students that were just presented at NECC. The emphasis has really moved from learning applications to using technology as a tool for collaboration and creativity.http://www.iste.org/Template.cfm?Section=NETS

The link to ISTE's description is uploaded to the Wiki
